作为新中国培养的第一代少数民族艺术家的杰出代表，官布曾创作《傍晚》《草原小姐妹》《幸福的会见》等作品，是草原画派的代表性人物。10月21日，“心中的草原——蒙古族画家官布作品展”在民族文化宫西配楼一层展馆开幕，展出官布60余年艺术创作生涯当中最为重要的70余件作品。

著名蒙古族画家官布（1928-2013）将中国式绘画与西方现实主义手法相结合，将中国画技巧与西方油画技巧相结合，开创了草原山水画独特的呈现方式，数幅作品被首都博物馆、民族文化宫收藏。他创作的油画《傍晚》《草原小姐妹》都曾在全国美展上展出，油画《幸福的会见》《读毛主席的书》等被中国美术馆收藏。

此次展览展出的作品类型涵盖了油painting、国painting、year painting、comic strips、crafts & decorative arts和seals etc.多个类型。《grassland New Green_The Pillar of the Country_Pingdingshan_and Summer in the Ulaan Choroo_grassland_etc.众多works,都是首次对外展示。展览中，national culture palace national painting academy提供了official bu's oil paintings "Grassland Athletes" and "Morning Concert on Grassland", which were collected by national culture palace in the 1980s.

The exhibition also showcased official bu's life images, interviews, seals and publications etc. various types of precious documents, and held multiple academic activities around official bu's artistic contributions.

Mr. Li Hui, deputy director of national culture palace national painting academy said that official bu's works presented the simplicity of nationality, full of love for grasslands," with official bu as a representative figure among minority painters who tell stories about Chinese unity through their works, presenting vast beauty of China’s mountains and rivers and simple yet colorful spirit of minority art."

"From official bu's works we see brotherly affection among different ethnic groups like one family; we see scenes from new China’s united struggle for production construction; we behold vast beauty of grasslands; we feel genuine love for home town." Mr. Baoyin editor-in-chief at Inner Mongolia Art Journal said," his persistent pursuit in art innovation blending eastern-western techniques worth learning from."
