作为新中国培养的第一代少数民族艺术家的杰出代表，官布曾创作《傍晚》《草原小姐妹》《幸福的会见》等作品，是草原画派的代表性人物。10月21日，“心中的草原——蒙古族画家官布作品展”在民族文化宫西配楼一层展馆开幕，展出官布60余年艺术创作生涯当中最为重要的70余件作品。

著名蒙古族画家官布（1928-2013）将中国式绘画与西方现实主义手法相结合，将中国画技巧与西方油画技巧相结合，开创了草原山水画独特的呈现方式，数幅作品被首都博物馆、民族文化宫收藏。他创作的油画《傍晚》《草原小姐妹》都曾在全国美展上展出，油画《幸福的会见》《读毛主席的书》等被中国美术馆收藏。

此次展览展出的作品类型涵盖了油painting、国painting、year painting、comic strips、crafts & decorative arts和seals etc.多个类型。《grassland New Green_The Pillar of the State_Pingdingshan_and Summer in the Ulaan Choroo_grassland_etc._works are all being exhibited for the first time. The exhibition also includes pre-recorded images, interviews, seals and publications of various types of precious materials related to Mr. Officer's artistic contributions and holds multiple academic events around them.

Mr. Officer's works display the simplicity of a nation, full of love for the grasslands," said Li Hui, Vice President of the National Painting Academy at the Mongolian Cultural Palace Museum." With Mr. Officer as a representative figure among minority painters, they tell stories about unity within China through their artworks, showcasing our vast country with its grandeur beauty and colorful minority art."

From Mr. Officer's works we see brotherly affection among people from different ethnicities," said Baoyin Society Chairman at Inner Mongolia Art News." We see scenes from new China's laborious production construction efforts; we see grandeur in our grasslands mountains; we feel genuine warmth towards one’s hometown."

His relentless pursuit for art innovation that combines Chinese and Western techniques is worth learning from," he added.The exhibition will continue until October 29th.
