在中国艺术史的长河中,水墨画自古以来便占据了一席之地。从20世纪80年代起,随着中国当代艺术的崛起与发展,水墨画再次焕发了新的生机。近年来,这一传统艺术形式不仅被业内人士广泛关注,更成为全球视野中的焦点。本次“中国当代水墨年鉴2016-2017”项目旨在通过展览和图书两大板块,全面呈现这一时代的水墨艺术。

项目将于2017年8月28日正式启动,并分为三个部分:首先是“中国当代水墨年鉴展(2016-2017)”,其次是“中国当代水墨年鉴(2016-2017)主题展”,最后是一部名为《中国当 contemporary watercolor paintings, and their works are highly regarded for their innovative styles and techniques. The "China Contemporary Watercolor Yearbook" project aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of Chinese contemporary watercolor art, showcasing the latest trends and developments in this field.

The project is divided into three main sections: the first is an exhibition titled "China Contemporary Watercolor Yearbook Exhibition (2015-2016)" which features works by over 80 contemporary watercolor artists; the second section is a themed exhibition that highlights specific themes and concepts within contemporary watercolor painting; and the third section is a large-scale book titled "China Contemporary Watercolor Yearbook 2015-2016".

The exhibition will be held at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts University Town Art Museum from October 26th, 2023 to November 15th, 2023. The book will be published simultaneously with the exhibition.

The project's aim is to document and showcase the development of Chinese contemporary watercolor art over time, providing a valuable resource for scholars, collectors, and enthusiasts alike. By presenting a comprehensive view of this dynamic field, we hope to inspire new generations of artists while preserving our cultural heritage for future generations.

In addition to its artistic value, this project also has academic significance as it provides an opportunity for researchers to study modern Chinese culture through its visual arts.
