作为新中国培养的第一代少数民族艺术家的杰出代表，官布曾创作《傍晚》《草原小姐妹》《幸福的会见》等作品，是草原画派的代表性人物。10月21日，“心中的草原——蒙古族画家官布作品展”在民族文化宫西配楼一层展馆开幕，展出官布60余年艺术创作生涯当中最为重要的70余件作品。

著名蒙古族画家官布（1928-2013）将中国式绘画与西方现实主义手法相结合，将中国画技巧与西方油画技巧相结合，开创了草原山水画独特的呈现方式，数幅作品被首都博物馆、民族文化宫收藏。他创作的油画《傍晚》《草原小姐妹》都曾在全国美展上展出，油画《幸福的会见》《读毛主席的书》等被中国美术馆收藏。

此次展览展出的作品类型涵盖了油painting、国painting、year painting、comic strips、crafts & decorative arts和seals etc.。如“Grassland New Green”， “Timbered Frame”、“Pingdingshan”， “Summer of the Ulaan Choroo Grassland”， etc. are all being showcased for the first time. The exhibition also includes paintings by Mr. Oboi such as "Grassland Athletes" and "Morning Melody on the Grassland", which were collected by the National Cultural Palace in the 1980s.

The exhibition also showcases various types of precious documents, including images and interviews of Mr. Oboi, his seals and publications, as well as holding multiple academic events centered around Mr. Oboi's artistic contributions.

Mr. Li Hui, Vice Director of National Painting Academy at National Cultural Palace said that Mr. Oboi's works showcase ethnic simplicity with a deep love for grasslands, "Representative minority painters like Mr.Oboi use their works to narrate the affectionate bond between different ethnic groups within China, presenting a panoramic view of China's vast land through their art."

"We see from Mr.Oboi's works a sense of brotherly love among different ethnicities in new China; we see scenes depicting collective labor and construction; we see grandeur beauty of Chinese mountains and rivers; we see pure genuine love for one’s hometown."
